Baked macaroni


Short Description

Macaroni is a generic term, used for tubular pasta made with a special machine, part of traditional Italian cuisine, but very popular in Bulgaria. They are prepared by boiling in salted water for the time specified by the manufacturer. After boiling they are poured over with different sauces.

Preparation method

Boil the macaroni in salted water with the cooking oil. Drain them and put them in a baking dish. Mix the eggs, milk and sugar with a mixer, add vanilla. The mixture is poured onto the pasta. On top place several pieces of butter. Bake at 180 degrees until golden color. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or fruit jam (optional)...
